Literature review is all about analysing and evaluating the content written by scholars and other researchers in your field. The materials that you analyse and evaluate can either make or break your dissertation; so, only choose to read materials written by well-known people. The more famous the author is the more credible your dissertation becomes. So, select the books, journals and articles for your literature review while keeping in mind the aforementioned rule. Also, literature review requires critical analysis of the materials – so, do not only provide summaries of the articles you have read; instead, show why you support or reject the author’s claims and how theories in your field prove or disprove your findings

Lee is absolutely right about avoiding to write the summary of the article. I did the same mistake and had to bear negative comments for the same.

Reading material should be confined to our research topic.

We should have a very clear understanding of our research topic so that we do net get confused.

We should be very particular about choosing the materials to review.
