Hi, I am not an expert in the discipline of education but it seems that this is your first attempt at writing a research proposal, as you are aware already, it’s a technically and precisely written document that needs to articulate in brief the extensive research that you would undertake subsequently. Since it’s a matter of admission, your proposal is going to be the testament of your capability and potential to carry out research and do justice to that positon of a scholar. Long thing short the proposal should be drafted and written well enough to convince the university panel on your behalf. Therefore it would be good to get some help with the writing of the proposal, there are a number academic writing services that provide help to budding scholars with their research writings. They would provide you with the best guidance. I personally had availed the service from Ukdissertation Forum (https://www.ukdissertationforum.com/) of the following institute that provided prompt guidance online, maybe you could refer to them too.

I would just like to add a few things to the last response posted on this thread.
• While writing an academic paper one should avoid using double negatives, or repetitive and redundant language construction and do not make generalisations.
• Academic writing should have a very factual tone and approach so avoid making value judgements when you are writing a paper
• Also, using too many quotations in a paper can make it seem as if you do not have much to say and are just trying to meet the word count for the paper. In general keep the quotations to less than 30% of the content of the paper.
• Do not use long and complex sentences that often become one-sentence paragraphs.
That’s all I can think of right now, hope this is helpful!December 28, 2017 at 12:00 pm in reply to: How to formulate a research topic out of a broad research interest? #694Amelia NixonMembername Amelia Nixon Email: Nixonamelia56@rediffmail.com
Hi buddy!! for a proposal, you are required to narrow down your research interest to a concise as well as a precise topic. You would be required to formulate a topic that would answer three questions of ‘Why’, ‘What’, and ‘How’. Following is a helpful resource to help you decide on a research topic: http://pages.ucsd.edu/~jmoore/courses/Parish.html. After you think you have reached that stage then you can go ahead to read around and about the topic or in other words review literature of that topic. This would further provide solidity to your research topic. Attaching here a link to a page that elaborates on literature review formulation: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3715443/.Amelia NixonMemberHi! Good to know you are from Sheffield University. I was graduated from there last year. Anyhow, the uni has associations with BBSRC, and if you checked university website thoroughly, you might have found this official website of BBSRC where you get all the required information regarding the application procedure. http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/documents/grants-guide/
