Yes, explanatory is qualitative in nature and exploratory is quantitative. Descriptive on the other hand is qualitative but with a structured and pre-planned design. It you have selected your research method (qualitative and quantitative), then I think it would be easy for you to determine your research strategy. And yes, including the research strategy/design is important as it is like the shape of your research plan and shows your motive.

A proposal is like a brief document that explains of intention of doing a research. I’d say that focus less on headings and more on the flow of your document. I read about proposal writing on the below link, and you can refer it too:

I don’t think that it’s too difficult. All the best!

@Austin Thank you so much for your reply and I think that you may be right. I have this thing that when I write, I am unable to go through it again, so I don’t proofread my work.

I can surely try to proofread my drafts before submitting them, so I checked out White Smoke software but unfortunately it’s chargeable. Can you suggest me any software which does not cost much on my pocket? Or is free of cost?

What I understand is that a thematic analysis is used for generating patterns from the qualitative data for answering a particular research question. Phenomenology deals with detecting a specific phenomenon on the basis of perceptions. Narrative analysis tries to understand phenomenon through human experiences. In short, all of these are like a cluster of interrelated things. I mean, aren’t they just saying the same thing in a different way? Thematic analysis focuses on identifying patterns from data, which is quite similar to phenomenology that identifies phenomenon from data. Both phenomenology and narrative analysis investigates the perceptions/experiences of people to identify a phenomenon. I find myself even more confused as I write this.

First of all the correction work is enormous so the first thing you need to do is to relax and focus on the points of corrections on which you have to work out. If the rationale of your research is weak then you need to correct the objectives of your research and until and unless you are not clear with your objectives you cannot form a concrete conclusion. You need to start from scratch and give a thorough study to your manuscript.

Before re-writing it for the third time, just sit back and relax and ask few questions to yourself. Like, what type of LR am I conducting, what is the scope of my research? Have I gathered information from all the sources and discussed studies contrary to my studies? Have I critically evaluated my Literature Review?

It’s okay to be stuck, you know. Not everyone gets it right in the start. I wrote it several times due, my supervisor always asked me to make revisions. If you’ll just include all these points and answer the questions that I think it’ll turn out okay. All the best 🙂
