    Totally agreed. Such mode of research provides freedom to the researcher to find out the loopholes and fill them with a data, information, arguments and conclusion drawn using various other methods. I would suggest you to continue with what you are thinking.

    Do not continue with uninterested topic, I did the same mistake and now I’m tagged as ABD. I would strongly advise to take your time and then make a decision.

    @Lizzie It appears that you chose topic of your dissertation hurriedly without collecting and reading more in your concerned field. You really should have identified something of your curiosity like what is it that you find amusing or ambiguous about in your literature.
