You need to identify the relevant variables of your study from the synthesis of your literature review. Identifying independent variables and dependent variable will suffice, where independent is the one who is not affected by any other factor or variable and dependent is the one that can alter with the interference of another variable. And in the conceptual framework, you need to show how these variables connect with each other as per your understanding. It’s basically how you will pursue your research.

Thanks for replying AustineBuzacott  My supervisor explained to me over the phone and told me the headings that I need to include in the proposal. They are:

1. Research background
2. Need for the study
3. Purpose and aim of the study
4. Research questions
5. Review of the literature
6. Research design
7. Research problem
8. Structure of the thesis

I think this is the format, however I don’t have any example to refer to. I need to write a proposal of approximately 2.5 to 3 thousand words.
