If you feel better, then I must tell you that I have been editing my dissertation chapters for as long as I remember.

It is inevitable. Don not lose your mind over it and just go along with editing.

They are really after you. I am sorry for your situation, you have landed yourself into the crappy zone of edit-corrections-repeat. The loop is long but you’d eventually get out of it. Firstly, hire a proofreader. The document must be large, it’s natural to make mistakes, so do that first and then work your brain out.

To find a good book which combines work on both research methodology and sampling technique would be tough rather I can suggest you two writers for the same. A Book by John W. Creswell- Research Design: Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods Approaches and for learning sampling technique you can go through a book by Johnny Saldana- Sampling Methods: Exercises and Solutions

I hope these books will be helpful to you.

I doubt anyone here can give you the exact topic. See, this is something you gotta do on your own! Just read a lot of literature on it and find the area which requires more research and you’ll be good to go.
