My supervisor doesn’t make any corrections but asks me to do it. And let’s just say that he asks A LOT. So no, I don’t think that you need to be concerned about over editing. It’s not normal but certainly less annoying.

This article is given by University of New Zealand and describes each and every aspect of literature review writing. I think it’ll be useful, it’s quite comprehensive. Hope you find it relevant.

Hey, you are so not alone at this. Even I am stuck at the literature review, it always comes back with more revisions. You know, people say that you don’t have to be perfect and just write it down. That’s not true, a dissertation needs to be ‘perfect’.
In my case, the LR has been rejected 3 times and I am still making the revisions. It’s tricky, you know, writing about someone else’s research in your words and then find those relevant gaps.

I think the best way of funding is to find a college that offers complete funding of PhD course. You won’t have to go looking for external bodies or do some tedious job. All you have to do is concentrate on your studies.

You can also seek help from European Research Council. And like ChloeBracker said, most of the universities provide substantial scholarships, which also include other costs apart from annual tuition fees such as living expenses.

You definitely missed something that’s why you got a 2:1. If you are unable to see it, then hire someone who can! Few months back, I was in your shoes and that’s when I looked for professional help. I contacted Regent Editing to scientifically edit my dissertation document. It was a success. Maybe they can help you out. You can find them at: http://www.regentediting.co.uk/
